FAQs

Where does HopeWell get the funds to operate?
Every year HopeWell starts with a clean slate and has to raise all of our operating costs to function. We are funded 100% by the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations. We have no stream of income – and that is unusual for a non-profit.

What is the operating budget?
At HopeWell we provide our services to people at no charge. But there is a cost—a considerable cost—to creating a community of support and knowledge and hope: the value of caring, highly qualified professional staff; the expense to maintain and grow this wonderful site we call home; the very real cost of the support staff who ensure we reach families with information about HopeWell. This year, the operating budget is $935,000.
